Kinesiology
Kinesiology (kin-easy-ology) works with the body's innate healing intelligence. It aids the body in it's natural drive to restoring balance and thus health. When everything is functioning well in our system, we feel well. In order to remain well, energy must constantly flow around all parts of our body through pathways called 'Meridians'. This energy is what the Chinese call 'Chi' and it controls how efficiently all the components of the body (organs, muscles etc.) function.
Kinesiologists undertake years of training to be able to access this movement of energy. When the energy flow is impaired, it can overwhelm the body, and result in physical pains, mental discomfort, and a myriad of other symptoms. These symptoms are the body's way of telling us that something is wrong. Modern medical science has traditionally focused on the treatment of these symptoms whereas Kinesiology focuses on identifying the bottom-line cause and then resolving it. It might be nutrional, emotional, structural, electrical or even spiritual - something as simple as an 'attitude' or a forgotten memory.
The essential tool upon which Kinesiology relies is the muscle feedback system - a handy piece of wiring in our bodies that gives instanst access to the information held by the core operating unit of the body - the subconscience mind. This normally inaccessible area holds all of our memories and all the information about our physical, emotional and mental states. It also determines the level of tension in our muscles. By measuring this level of tension, we can quickly establish what the cause of the problem is. This is done by the therapist touching a muscle in the arm of the client, and feeling the amount of 'give' in this muscle.
When a session starts, the client will be asked to remove their shoes and lie down on a couch. Kinesiology is a completely non-invasive therapy and therefore clients remain fully clothed throughout the session.

About a year ago I was suffering from all over body pain for several weeks when I attended the Amber Clinic. I was suffering from a severe yeast infection "Candida".
She prescribed herbal medication and, after about a week, the pain began to ease.
I was a few months on this treatment, after which I was completely clear of infection.
Now, one year later, I feel great and the infection has not returned.
